M8: Polyghost

Haven't moved too much away from my previous two attempts, but enjoyed the setup too much to let it go. This time it's a bit more trancy. Like the previous one I built most of it on the Teensy Headless, using a rad bluetooth keypad and hooking everything up on the computer. I streamed mu struggles, so you might be able to catch some of it on twitch before it hits the bucket --  https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1476702559

I've used some of my son's skateboarding footage as I'm slowly running out of drone vids smile

A righteous, righteous jam. 4:00 or so is a great moment, could have totally milked that bass for longer! (I'm sorry this week really did not go like I anticipated, I've totally loaded your stuff on the M8, but failed to finished both the track I was working on & make any progress on yours...)

You're right about the sweeping bass. I realized I have overdone it with the limiter and it was too late to do something about it. So far the best takeaway from the whole WB thing is not to worry too much. As long as you can find the time to lay down *something*, it's working out.

My process is to just start on something fresh if I get stuck on somthing that I care more about. And with it rotting for a while, it may sound good and I just tweak ita  little and have no problem releasing something that would feel like wasting a thing with much grander potential. Continuing the effort seems like the biggest value to me.

^ Came here to mention the 4:00 bass, too!  It's one of those moments that make you look up from whatever you're doing and check the WB playlist to see who did that.  The whole song has a cool vibe, and I dig the little RK006's lights plugging away in the video.

I wish I didn't know what this is like. tongue

909 + 303 (or something like it) ... I'm feeling great

can't decide, head goes up and down, and then side to side, and then low and behold back and forth
