I've been lucky to have a friend lend me his magic box, the Hologram Microcosm for a weekend, so I've tried to twiddle the knobs on it a little. It sounds marvelous, but after I've experienced the M8 I want things to come in small packages! This happened before the song mode update (1.40) for the Digiboxes. Maybe I wouldn't have it so damn long if I had less to worry about, I suck twiddling in real time. Anyway I have a vid too!

Because Sunday had brief moments of lovely weather I took my drone and flew a couple of packs on the city dam, that is being emptied for some repairs. Used the tune for the vid as well.

You should do an EP of DT/DN material like this, this is lush... And if you want a needlessly enthusiastic guitar pedals enthusiast friend recommending some solid box magic for synths & things... big_smile

The more Digitone I hear the more interested I am in it... I have questions, but I think I should read the manual instead.

Love the bass, love the pinky things, this is "blue air, clear skies, green grass" kinda music, and I've not even seen the video yet. heart

Just watched the video and it's also awesome -- is that jimmac jr. skating like pro? Found a particular thing you did w/ tweaking inspirational -- it's not rocket science or anything, but have been designing automation w/ M8 tables where multiple things get moved, and really appreciated how unique it sounds when you modulate one-thing-at-a-time in close sequence. Seems like it'd be an interesting approach of setting up tables for various params & then swapping them one-at-a-time across long sounds, but with rapid / mechanized movements. Anyway, I ramble, this is dope, thanks. heart

Some nice sounds and vibes in this!

I have had my eye on the microcosm sounds lovely

I know this might sound like blasphemy, but I'd somehow prefer to have these effects as software. Or some more flexible box with customizable firmware similar to Monome Norns (only have very shallow idea of what it is). I feel like I already have too much hardware sad

He'd say this is him still being a n00b. Skating is all he does now. He beat me in drone racing and never touched the sticks again smile

Yea this is probably what I miss most on my M8 workflow. While REP is great, it gets a little cumbersome when you want really subtle changes over a longer time. Ramble on, my friend! This makes this whole WB endevour more worth it!

Thanks! Yes it can absolutely do way more, but it's also super approachable. This is literally the first and last thing I did on this, without even seeing the manual.

But let's be real here, I also tried glitching some breakbeat on my tb3 and polyend tracker for a bit, without relying on the lush reverb, but I couldn't quite produce anything presentable.

Almost missed it without the m8tracker tag!
Great classic sound.
I want everything as both  hardware and software option, warts and all.

beautiful track but now i must go make some ginger tea...

The only time I drink ginger tea is when I'm sick, so I hope you're doing well.

Next time I'll let the m8 provide the clock at least wink

i was being silly about your drone footage - the loopty loops made me a bit motion sick but not too bad - it was such pretty footage i was having a hard time looking away & i'm actually amazed at how smooth the motion is on your drone camera is - i enjoyed my tea & am all good smile
