TrabanT: darkhop (jimlette remix)

By Jim Wood on May 22, 2014 6:02 pm

I took up TrabanT's offer to add vocals to his WB 19 upload. Original instrumental & drum tracks by TrabanT. Vocal by Sofia Lecubarri from Olsein's "Lullaby Stranger" remix contest (http://www.remixcomps.com/contest/olsein-feat-sofia-lecubarri-remix-contest). Harmonies added in Melodyne.

This is glorious.

Why thanks. I really like the extreme transposition of the spanish vocal sample this week.

Next week, Cane Toads (sort of).

Cane toads eh? Intriguing. I'll tune in next Monday morning. Transpositions are fun.

this is awesome and dark

thanks for remixing me !!!   :-)  I feel VERY VERY honored! you made a remarkable piece with your "signature style" glitchy , dark, washed out between genres of reality and dreamlike psychoaccoustics  ... well done!

Really dig the bent nature of the remix.

great remix! You obviously managed to give it your signature! Excellent!

This is really wonky and cool! I like the staggering feel

Thanks -- I was going for the contrast between the floaty voice and TrabanT's punchy beat.

Well, like Popeye, "I yam what I yam."

Most of that comes from TrabanT's original.

Infinite Costanza

Great track! I like the beat that comes in about 1/3 in. Nice processing on the voice (as is usually the case here!)

Sounds cool and otherworldly.  It's disorienting yet somehow catchy at the same time.

Thanks. The beat was Trabant's.

Disorienting and catchy --a good description.
