Surfing an Art Opening

By Jim Wood on March 10, 2016 4:26 pm

Mac computer voice Bruce. To augment the sound of the meagre gallery attendance, I layered and looped the background chatter. Buzzy synth guitar lead processed with arpegiator linked to random M4L LFO. D Major.

Very avant garde.  I like it.

I suppose some people would say that for it to be "in key" in this day and age is indeed avant-garde, heh.

Lovely track, Jim. What was the exhibition? Less glitch-voice than usual!

Cool beat on this one.  The music seems to have a happy vibe to it, too.  Sounds like a fun art opening.

Dude, surf music is definitely cutting-edge. The opening (and yes, it was fun) was at "Gallery of Mud" -- a fair distance both physically and conceptually from Santa Fe's insular "Art" market.

Thanks all!

Reminds me of Some David Byrne stuff. Very intriguing piece of music

Great new song!!  I like the fact you are changing
the track in tempo and direction every 4 seconds.
The alienesque voice is supercute!

Short attention span smile

Bruce is one of the recent Mac voices; my favorites are Steffi (German) and Audrey (French) -- it's great fun when you have Audrey speaking from an English text -- sounds like French but makes no sense.

sounds stretchy smile

Thanks for making me smile every week Jim.

Top notch mix/production - very impressive.

I really enjoy those guitar strums flickering in and out.  Very cool!

Not so hard to come up with, since the opening was sea-themed. They served Goldfish crackers, Gummy Sharks and crab-cakes ::)

Gorgeously bendy and slippery.
