Cool use of a vocalizer? I dig it.
I meant vocoder. Stupid fingers.

Thanks. Actually Melodyne. Something about the processing in those old "how to behave" films makes it easy to tune the voices.

Ah, all I have is the stripped down version of Melodyne that ships with Studio One Pro and I don't think it can do stuff like this. I have Sonivox Vocalizer Pro, though, for the rare occasions that I do anything like this.

The coolest things happen if you ignore the instructions; I have the more elaborate (polyphonic) version of Melodyne as well, but keep going back to the basic version most of the time
It's so refreshing to hear strings without the cliche. Like here. Or vocoded vocals without daft punk beat. Lovely.

Viele dank! Especially coming from a talented lutenist such as yourself.
Very cool. The Melodyne processing works really well, and I really like the way you're creating melody from non melodic source materials. The hard-cut strings/pads add to the alien-robot-malfunction vibe--great stuff!

Thank you, sir. I notice that you're using Live as well -- you can get some great (& unexpected) melodic material from spoken vocals via Melody-to MIDI.

This, this absolutely. Daft Punk, or Cher.
Really nice track Jim. The beat is perfect, and the swells, but the driving rhythmic nature of the vocals. Awesome.

I appreciate your kind words. Thanks!
Once again, a track thats bustling with musical creativity!
And cheating
A lovely quirky piece once again. The subtle rhythms of the various voicings creates an interesting texture.
Another awesome piece! I really appreciate your craftiness, Jim Wood.

Thank you,gentlemen. High praise indeed.
Awesome stuff as usual. Once again nice transformation of the mundane into something otherworldly.
I always enjoy your experiments!
