Bunnui

By Jim Wood on June 19, 2014 5:56 pm

A condition of lassitude among rabbits.

More cello, with additional instruments and percussion. Voice from Grammar Girl Quick and Dirty Tips podcast "Little Bunny Foo Foo," transgendered into cello range.

Glitchy and trippy... sounds like the bunnies have been dipping into the "funny" carrots.

Isn't that just like a rabbit.

Really enjoyed. Dig the glitching cello with it.

Is this inspired by Nutmeg?

Man I love your glitch work Jim. It's so solid and expressive.

I like the stylings of your recent tracks.  Have you heard of The Books?  This track and one of your other ones remind me of them a little bit.  Definitely not a bad thing!  Saw them live a few years ago.  Fantastic.

Well, sort of -- I usually have several pieces going at any given time, and this one was almost complete when I read about Nutmeg. So...

Man I love your glitch work Jim. It's so solid and expressive.

The Books. Yes, some of my favorite songs. "A squid in a bag."

Perfect.

That's what I call contemporary cello exploration!

Thanks! That's why I started playing, although it took some time to get it sounding even halfway good.

hi jim ... i really enjoy listening to your productions in the morning... when my brain is still sleepy and surely does not want any top40  chart music or uncreative mainstream approaches ... then,,, yes then you Sir come along and present these wonderfully arranged deeply filled pieces of audio - sonic miracles ... unexpectable ... you never know what is lurking around the next corner, how any piece will evolve, rhytm changes and so fort...

this morning (just sipping my coffee) it feels like snuggling with a furry animal.... something unworldly, something with multidimensional shapes, something that cannot be understood by touch, smell , sight alone, something that seems to change depending on how you try to perceive it ...

masterful piece this one ... especially like that in the last third one can identify what has been said (or at least i remember that, dunno, i am still sleepy)

perfect wake up music to start your day daydreaming, it is like (yeah, now this sentence is the gist : ) your tracks build a bridge after waking up to the dream world that you were in while sleeping.

tataaaa, thanks for that man!

Thank you, my friend. I certainly wasn't expecting such praise.

Das macht mich sehr glücklich smile
