Arkansas Traveler

By Jim Wood on May 9, 2014 2:29 am

WB 18 ("warranty") by TrabanT inspired me to have a go at this piece of classic Americana. Voice: my wife, pitch-shifted downwards (including sighs). Ring modulator on one of the instrumental tracks produced the "bleating" sound.

Really enjoyable track Jim. Love the sound palette!

good stuff, Jim

Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate your comments.

the altering e-piano sound is very nice and your work on glitching the vocals as good as always!

Hmm… I was going for a banjo sound: plucked, hammered, whatever. My wife appreciates your approval on the vocals.

Very cool glitchiness! Super catchy and interesting

Great rhythms and again nice use of voice. I enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!

You got that right.

You always seem to do interesting stuff with vocals and this is no exception.  Great usage of the wife.  Nice synth sounds as well.

Great. Love the sound manipulation. It all sits together really well. Nicely chilled chaos?

Chilled, I thought. But chaos...

Meant in the best possible way! To my ears there's a sort of playful chaotic vibe with the sounds glitching and bouncing that i really like.

Nice voice manipulation and overall atmosphere
