The evening conquers all
and down we will fall on top of the sheet
Eyes weary, body exhausted
mind is surrendered, day is complete
A tranquil place we reside
but there they will hide, the least we expect
the growing dread that survives
comes out in the night disturbing our rest
CHORUS
We slumber and the nightmares will come near
We tumble through the night when they come here
We rest beyond the thoughts giving us fear
We sleep until the bad dreams disappear
VERSE 2
Those creatures crawling around
New scares will be found, adrenaline peaks
confronted every corner
Inside your mind the terror will speak
VERSE 3
The lasting horror prevails
an unending tale cast out of the blue
the story always will build
as long as the quill lies inside of you
