Highway 180 (with spoken portions)

By Jetkick on August 19, 2012 4:14 am

Here's the (only) new track I played at Parallelis's ElectroniCon on Wednesday! It was a blast, and I thank Parallelis for letting me play my crap at his event. (Note to self: Do not attempt 30-minute-long DnB set with no breaks in between ever again, unless you start bodybuilding your legs)

I had a really fun time with this one, mainly because most of it was done on a single Monday afternoon and evening. This was my transition piece within the non-stop set, where I turned up the BPM from house tempo to a rigorous 180 beats per minute; just the way I like it.

I am quite pleased with the bass sound I managed to produce, and will definitely be fine-tuning it and using it extensively in later productions. (also, I'm trying to make use of the wide availability of orchestra SoundFonts on the Internet, and have included a VIBRAphone for taste)

So here's Highway 180, with spoken portions. Check the SoundCloud link for the clean version, if you prefer.

EDIT: What was I thinking of course it's a vibe

This is badd ass... really cool!

cool stuff. the buildup was great.. and the spoken portions were interesting hehe

This is really awesome, love it! Great sounds in there (although that's a vibraphone not a xylophone tongue )

Pretty epic stuff. You put alot of work into this, and I like the tempo changes too.

OOOOHHHH THIS IS SOOO MUCH FUN!

ONLY JUST NOTICED THAT THE END OF THIS SONG IS MAYBE TWO MINUTES OF SILENCE
