Burn

Been meaning to release this track for the last three weeks now. Still not all that satisfied with it, but I need to get this off of my hands before I go insane. (may re-release later on Soundcloud)

This is my attempt at working with the vocoder plug-in that's been lying around my DAW for so long. Finally took the five seconds to learn how to use it, and I've gotten it to make some pretty cool sounds. My voice could use a little work here, but I'll leave it to you to judge.

Critiques and feedback encouraged.

That vocoder sound is awesome. Love it

how is your voice miced and how are you processing it? it

oh also. this track is amazing.. the vocals sound like they would be great if they were processed/recorded omre cleanly and perhaps a little louder

Wow, thanks! @Phil Harmonic, I have basically no experience with vocals processing, so it's all a bad job of EQ, a bit of GSnap to fix my pitchiness in this particular recording, and random compression. (ALSO THAT SNARE KEEPS CUTTING OUT AND I DON'T KNOW WHY)

sounding really good! love that vocal sample from My Friends Drag Me Along/Too Good To Be True. vocals do get kind of muddy at points, but i understand you still need a good mic. SEW EXCITED FOR TOMORROW MAAAN

phenomenal!

Done well.

What mic you using though?

Again, thanks, everyone! @cTrix, I'm using this crappy clip-on mic my mom had hanging around. It's about a half-step above my laptop mic, complete with motor noises and mechanical whirring, but I will need to invest in a quality mic at some point.
