I'll be honest, I feel disrespectful; aping a CS-80, pretending like a tribute built in a few days can do justice to a lifetime of music. But Vangelis is all I've listened to this week, so it’s all I've got in my brain.

I have to say this — as a kid, I thought synth music was made by computers. Like, that they had computers do it instead of people. It seems silly now, of course. But It wasn’t until I encountered Vangelis as, like, a personality in interviews and such that I realized it was still people who made electronic music. And that, by extension, I could, too. And I’m still as excited by that thought today as I am by his music.

Made with a Micronmonsta2, controlled by Linnstrument through a CXM 1978. Bassline is a DB-01.

I believe in ignorance
Ignorance of infancy cradled with age
For we know not what we do
For we know not oneself through time
But rather are aware of the unknowable
Sheilded be a thin veil

Seeing Vangelis play surrounded by synths was such an inspiring thing for me as a kid.  This sounds awesome and is an excellent homage.  Digging the Blade Runner-like bassline with those synth flares too.  The micromonsta sounds bad ass and the reverb at the end is epic how it trails out with the synth.  Nice work!
