Growing up, the NES Golgo 13 soundtrack made a huge impact on me. I wanted to do something like that, but got squeezed by time and didn’t get the sound design right. I ended up with a repetitive loop that, thematically, landed someplace between Top Secret Episode and Ninja Gaiden 2.

Oh well. On to next week!

That echoing figure at the start is really cool.

I'm imagining a cavern level maybe with some dripping acid to avoid and then you have that repeating Bond like figure which is bringing the tension.

I would have loved for it to go completely batshit and double in tempo at some point.

I don't think I've heard the James Bond chromatic figure sound so calm. The echoing square lead is the kind of pretty that make me think of looking out windows at night. The portamento lead gets to add more of that danger back in with its chromatic moves, but overall, it feels like moving safely through a rundown part of town
