come with me

This alley looks the same as all the others--somehow simultaneously inky black and blindingly purple as neon cuts through the cracks. The metal buildings breathe with bass. Buskers play along with the industrial rhythm of life, their hand struck djembes following the unpredictable tempo of the city. Chaos swells, light flashes, and finally... you're here.

Another VCV rack creation. I've finally broken down and picked up some eurorack modules to do this for real in meat space, so I limited my palette to better reflect reality--reusing quantizers, random note sources, et cetera.

I was trying to bring the kind of sounds from the last two tracks together and it came out... real weird... but I think it tells a decent enough story. With physical controls, I think this would be easier to perform and keep interesting, but that'll have to wait a few more weeks.

As always, thanks for listening to my nonsense dudes. I appreciate all the comments so much.

YEEEESSSS MORE TRACKS WITH A LORE SECTION LFGOOOOOOO!!!!!

The combination of the very human djembe drum strikes with the MEGA crunchy and industrial electronic sounds is really cool here.

I am impressed you've been able to make something this cool on modular! I thought only folks with A LOT of experience were able to cobble together something actually musical sounding.

Looking forward to your further exploration into the (to me) very scary world of modular, hahahaha...

Sounds great. Modular folks never cease to impress, this track is superb. And sounds very meaty. I guess if you were short on cash before a show you could just put some knobs on some little cardboard boxes, spraypaint it all, and have a squirting fountain of fake blood for the folks who try to look too close.

Man, that alley sounds like a bop, perhaps an idea for next week?
This one's kinda nice in an unpredictable way.
