Grave Lodgings

A stone may age in many ways, but one thing is assured - time will march on day by day, and leave none unperturbed.

Featuring synthesizer, electric guitar, bass, drum kit, shaker, and effects.

Ooh I like that fade out on the drums (and frequency shift?). Fun tune but def has a dark vibe. Nice shaker action, makes those dirty riffs almost danceable smile

Thanks! Yeah most of the fading is EQ, and mostly a vinylizer plugin (that is also adding the noise pops to simulate record wear/dust). The thought was to represent a rock (stone) aging.

I like that I'm not the only one who approached the "Stone Out Of Focus" junto project in an atypical fashion. No static drones here either!

The frequency shift is a novel idea, at first I thought I was losing hearing because obviously you wouldn't do such a thing in a track! So it was a surprise to me, and somewhat of a relief to learn that no, this is embedded in the music! And when the bass returns for the finale, the payoff is definitely there! That '70s synth lead is fantastic.
