within reason

By Jason Nijjer on July 3, 2016 5:32 pm

Slow meandering house/electronic track, probably a little too long, for the first time no use of an ipad this week, everything was done "within reason"

Liking it. I don't mind the length, but then again I like these slowly evolving pieces a lot. It has something of Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works pt1 ...

I like it for these reasons as well.  Also yes--totally agreeing with dj someguy on the pleasant Aphex qualities in evidence, with the quiet, gorgeous pads under the more present drums.

Wow, thanks guys, huge compliments as "Ageispolis" from selected ambient works vol 1 is one of my favourite tracks of all time

+1 on the length, I think for the way it develops with those calming pads it works out great.  It takes a nice turn when the extra percussion comes in with the warbly keys.  I see the AFX resemblance but also personally reminded me of Plaid's sounds from their tekkonkinkreet soundtrack.  Nice job!
