icy toast

Started this one with using samples of the kids crushing ice on the way to school, created some loops and used it as open and closed hihats.  The track was taking a really dark brooding vibe, it wasn't working, tried something different and it ended up as this strange dubby track.  Found an old interview on soundsystem culture and used some lines from it to toast the track.

The ice sample almost sounds like a cigarette lighter.  Like the dub element.  Good vibes.

the ice crushing samples are a wonderful idea, really fresh sounding. wow

this dub got a refreshing style of energy, feels it makes me wanna jump up but in a relaxed way smile

first time I hear ice crushing in a reggaedub. It is a groovy and delicious toast.

That was smooooth. Bopping nicely on this one. I love the bass here and the usage of samples.

Love the dub feel from the main keys to old school drums.  The ice crushing add a cool element to it all.

This is one chill song.

This beat really takes you along with it. The offbeat pluck you have going on also treats me very well. Rated dub/10 would listen again.

I could see myself listening to this late night on a beach somewhere.  Great groove on this one.  Every drum hit sounds so purposeful, but keeps me guessing at the same time.  Great track!
