fleeting sun

By Jason Nijjer on January 12, 2020 7:50 pm

The short days are starting to get to me, at least they are slowly growing longer each day.  Need some warm sun this week, the high temperature this week with wind is -37 and going as low as -50 on Tuesday.  At times like this I'm so grateful I have the luxury of a home.  Fantastic tunes everyone made in the first week, as always thanks for listening.

Closing my eye's I'm imagining walking through the snow trying to get home but home is always getting further and further away.

I spent the weekend struggling through +5 weather and thought I had it bad. Cold like yours must be really something. I love it when the songs I hear each week conjure up an image in my head. Thanks this week for the snowy landscape and frozen lakes. The pad especially is so wintery, absolutely love it heart

Love the feeling this one evokes.

For me the highlight of this track was that bit where it sounds like the baseline has a rhythmic pitch bend happening. Adds a lot of character to the song. I also really dig the choice the drumbeats.

I am listening the 3rd time in a row... always dreaming away... wonderfull track!

I feel a real sense of desolation in this track, I love especially when the kick and snare come in

God damn that's cold!  Quite the opposite where I am.  Bushfires and heatwaves.  We're getting a break from the heat currently which is great!  Where about are you in the world?

Anyway...  I like that dirty kick sound with the swirling ambiences. Works nicely within the track.

I'm in Edmonton, Canada.  If only we could exchange some weather.  I really hope things are starting to turn around with the fires.  We had our share of them last summer, it's quite depressing when it's the middle of the afternoon yet the sun and sky looks like a scene out of blade runner.

Capture the winter mood so well, very nice flowing cool (pun intended ... ) and chill piece. The short winter days getting to me a bit too. Here in Washington state its been pretty mild temps, but dealing with snow lately, which at least is nice to look at sometimes.

Thanks man.  We've finally had a bit of rain which has helped and a lot of the major fires are now under control (that I know of).  And yes, crazy Bladerunner vibes.
Canada is a beautiful part of the world.  I'd like to get back there one day.  Spent a month in Whistler 10 years ago and loved it!  I'm a crazy mountain biker so that's pretty much mob nirvana.  smile
