This Is Fine

I accidentally got carried away again. This started as a little video game instrumental tune but quickly evolved into... 80s synthy song thing? Oops... It serves well as a demo, but I'm not super into a couple of the build and lyric choices so it may get tweaked one day.

Holy cats! Back in the 90s I was a member of a mailorder fanclub that would occasionally release cassettes (and a couple CDs!) of underground/indie synthwave tracks, demos, b-sides, and more. It's through them that I discovered Anything Box, Red Flag, T42, and a bunch of other cool bands. This track takes me right back to those days and I love it!!

I love the syncopated bass - kick drums. Solid vocals performance, nice throwback to the late 80's but with some chiptune vibes later, some sound palette that are really yours, but yeah those drums + bass screams 80's...

Nice two distinct parts, not sure if the 15 secs at 2m45 is necessary up to 3 mins mark where buildup is great. I don't feel that it raise tension, helps that much to the development of the track but damn there is good stuff in here.

Congrats on the track.

Definitely more than fine, and in the modern game landscape, this definitely works in a game.
