The 'verse' riff has been sitting in my idea vault for a while marked as 'boss battle', so here goes my attempt at an intense video game battle theme. I was going to keep it retro game-sounding with instrument plugins, but the original guitar idea would not translate well into that format, so I decided to be a little less lazy and actually play some guitar, which then opened the door for the new elements coming together that wouldn't have happened otherwise. I'm not much of a lead player, but the vibe of the song called for some twiddly widdlies, please forgive the roughness but at least the idea is there.
