Funky shit

Didn't have time to mix, or master this song. I layered a bunch of bass sounds for this one.  Flipped another Egyptian sample, and voila.

I like the slap clap.

Thanks

love that hard-driving beat! and all the sample-flips work a perfect counterpoint to set up the vibe for those vocals near the end, so dope!

It`s psychedelic funky shit. Awesome track!!! The production is fantastic.

Thanks.  I want to spend more time on this one eventually when I’m less busy.  Was approached to do this for a dj as a trailer track.

I like everything about this, the sample, the beat, the chops, the vibe, but man oh man THAT NASTY ASS BASSSSSSSSSSS (slide down into just the pulse). heart

That slide sound was an accident.  The last note is an octave lower than the rest. I believe it’s 1 bar long.  I increased the release time on the envelope slightly.  It was a serum bass.

Festival of samples - the brass and vocals are an highlight, adding a lot of funk and character to the track.

That first bass hit is major, samples are nicely manipulated, like how that sustained bass note plays throughout most of the track, this is indeed some funky shit, nice touch with the vocoded vocal near the end, little bit of a g-funk vibe.
