Back at it

Been away for a while.  My old computer died, ,and took all of my music with it.  I was not motivated to make anything for the past two weeks, but decided to finally get back into making some music.  Very simple song, no mixing, or EQ.  Just experimented.

Mix actually sounds pretty good, nice contrast between the pulsing beat and the gentle layered pads and melody.

Oh wow that must have been terrible to lose the music! That's a smooth beat. I like how hand percussion really ties it, giving it a flow feel. The synth are nice accents on the top.

Sorry to hear of the loss.  I too lost quite a bit when my m8 sd card fried (i used a non supported one). I also didn't have any backups.  Now I started backing things up on multiple computers when I have a chance.  This is a nice track. I really like the pairing of these higher octave melodies with the low bass and smooth beat as others say.
