I sampled something by Walt Whitman again. One of my favorite beats i ever made had a sample from another poem from him. so this time i really tried to automate and make the most of this one idea. also finally sidechained an audio the proper way. so many little things you learn when you make music every week to upload it here. i don't feel like making music right now but i'm glad im keeping up here and at least try to learn the tools more.

Nice! I love the really 'wet' tone of the beat, like you sampled it, crushed it within an inch, then brought it back.

What effect is that? Sounds like lossy or something. Like the mellow vibes and the brass pad. Kudos for pushing through and learning the tools! Had a bad plateau in 2024 for a couple weeks after week 10 or so; doing your best to stick with it during that time is what makes or breaks the streak, I think. And focussing on at least learning or exploring stuff can be the key. smile

it's like it has a layer of frost on it. i love it.

chord swells are so nice.
