When I Came Back, She'd Dissolved

By iran sanad on February 25, 2012 9:00 am

I was going to do many different things this week.
My two complaints are: This sounds exactly like everything else I make
                                     The MP3 levels are f**ked.

This is a reiteration of my first piece for Composing/Arranging class (year 2011). it was by far the 'happiest' piece I've written, yet.
Thanks to David H for the help with the original piece.

There was a bird whose neck snapped (or looked snapped). It was just lying dead under the tree in my parking lot. nobody ever really paid any attention to it, or the most was to alter their paths away from it. I went away last weak. When I came back, it wasn't there. Life went on as usual after that.

I used the (AWESOME!!!) Sibelius MIDI recording of the said composing project, plus some random field recordings, and a little bit of effects on some stuff.

So many ideas post-blip week. So little time.

... For all my friends who are way cooler than they think.

Simultaneously relaxing and disturbing. The description of the bird goes well with it. Disintegration and change. Etc blah. I hear ya re: post blip time / ideas ratio.

>> This sounds exactly like everything else I make

I don't see this as a bad thing. Tread your own path.

PS > This is your happiest piece? Can I listen to the unhappiest?

Holy crap dude, that was tremendous! Sad to think about the dead bird, though, on a perhaps happier? note, Alice thought of a female snowperson when she saw the title. I dunno, emotional association with sound is an interesting concept.

Seb, the original thing was the happiest. I guess this version of it, not so much. I'll make the unhappiest soon.
but what's the point of me repeating myself if I only have one thing to say?

vinpous: all birds die, right? but thanks guys!

another interesting piece smile

yeh i see what little-scale means.

I like the almost disintegration of the track as it plays.  Fitting.
