I think the recording of the trumpet was manipulated by being somehow related to something that affected it at 412.7Hz...I'm not quite sure what. there were sinewaves involved ...

Yeah, pretty much. As well as you know, perhaps dissolving into more, um articulate conclusions, or other ideas that wouldn't have generated without the extended pause on the original near-epiphany?
