FIRST!

lol, u called it, i love this stuff

love the filtering, love the bass line, love the voice, love the sparkles, love the lasers, LOVE the detuney bits - what is electroclash exactly?  i hear techno/house/disco i guess?

This is awsome!

Dazzling indeed. This track really does sparkle!

The pumping bass is huge! I love the work on the voice, how the panning brings a lot of energy.

Your tracks are always such good energy. Rarely depressive or dark. Very light and positive.

Can I ask you what is your process to tune your robots vocals? (this one will be hard to answer with only a GIF... but it is all right I am sure I could figure something out if I really want to go for it.)

I just want to dance now! smile

Woohoo! You finally did it! Yeah, I think that is all part of electro clash. Mostly inspired by some of what I was writing in the early aughts.

I didn't get much of a chance to listen to this on the monitors since I wasn't sure my bunnies would like it, so I'm not sure how I feel about the mix yet.

Glad you are digging it!
It's nothing too complicated, just using Newtone. You could use Celemony Melodyne too. I usually broadly edit the text first because it's a bit easier outside of Newtone. Then I just import, join words, turn up center, lower variation (not too much), then drag the notes where I want and drag them out as needed. You can also add vibrato to longer notes as well. Check out some tutorials on youtube!

Quirky cool!

this is hot shit!

love the energy and the bouncy lazers!

I see the dancefloor razzle-dazzle in front of my eye. phreaking good.

Sparkly

Definitely dazzled me!

currently sending this track to my brother
who turned me on to techno remix of phantom of the opera in like 1991
so they're pretty cool i guess

Yeah, I do too! Totes reminds me of that Blade Runner club scene!

The only thing that bothers me is that because of the way it's made, it's out of sync a bit at the end after it's tweaked out. Sytrus has an envelope looping feature that can change speeds, but the speed only updates after keypress, which sucks since I want to tweak the speed in real time like an analog synth. So I hacked it by using an external lfo from Peak Controller to control the pitch, but there is no way to reset the phase offset besides starting the song over, or switching to another instance of Peak Controller, which I probably should have done. I had another idea for using an FM operator to control the pitch, but I couldn't get the effect I wanted unfortunately. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered with tweaking the speed, I thought it would sound better than it actually did.

Great to read a bit about your process with the vocal parts. Compelling sound, quite amazing how much you seem to be able to get done each week and how fleshed out the productions end up. Classic filter riser bit near the end.

Ah! This is what came to mind for me...

It's not that hard, Newtone is fairly intuitive, just a hassle and kinda buggy.

I thought it was sounding like Fischerspooner until I added the vocals, now it totally sounds like Freezepop!
