Echoes at Dusk

By increment on January 4, 2026 8:32 am

Back again for 2026. I haven't been able to get a lot of music done last year due to work commitments, which continue into this year, but very much want to get a lot more done this year. I have no real outcomes I am looking for this year... I haven't even released my work from 2024. I just to practice making music and staying mentally healthy.

I think I am going through a bit of a funny place with music, so it'll be interesting to see what comes out for Weekly Beats this year.

For the first week, I've used a couple of samples from Senor Picante (some keys and guitars) as a part of the Beat Collective (https://discord.com/channels/837521059145580574/) community challenges.

SomaFM's groovesalad aesthetic! So chill and lounge-y. insta-favourite!
Groovy AF! Good stuff!

Maybe it's my mood but this sounds like a "creeping through the study" theme from a 60s spy movie. Smooth, a little dark, and very sleek.

Groovy AF.  Major vibes

I enjoyed this a lot, awesome "dub" style bass and keys, and the lead melody is 🔥🔥🔥

I love the sound design in this track so much, the juicy filter on those percs, and the lead that sounds almost like a meow... soooo good.

oof yes i'm a fan of those suhweet filtered beats.  Gnarly bass that punches through the beat so nicely.  Love the lead synth too.  excellent work! \m/

Using this instrumentation for a slow electronica track was a great choice. It suggests it belongs in the world of dub, but provides a new perspective. A unique result, I dig it! I like the lead melody and how it bass corresponds to it. A skillfully built track.

groovy!
