A Bitter Pill to Break the Curse

Week 2! This week was a fun ride! I managed to finish at least 15 hours before the deadline.

I started the week wanting to make a chill dark trip-hop number, but never really got there.
Went through quite a few iterations replacing elements and elements until almost nothing remained.

Last night I was up till 3am working on it and still not happy with it.

This morning I just happened to be playing with the Rytm's new SY CHIP machine and suddenly I'd remade it into a chippy type thing and was much happier with it.

Arranged on Octatrack, sampling from Rytm, and MS-20.

Last time I arrange something on OT I think, back to the M8 next time.

Oooh, oldskool chiptune!
I love the synth! Percussive elements are on point!

ggwmt! (good game, well made track)

sunsets and skylines

Chiptune and good drums are a awesome match. I like this a lot.

It's really great!

great drums! love a pulsey lead too big_smile

Well worth the late night(s).  The mix is wonderful, and that drop at 2:04 ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪♬

Quality Arps, tubesockor did the rytm right. great sounds all round in this track, drums too. It is a cool track!

Iteration for sure!  Interesting beats / puretone cross over.  Nice PWM

Lots of cool movements in this! Love all the various chippy sounds

chiptune saves the day -- cool sound to this one, some crazy textures lurking there low in the mix

Really like that bassline sound, is that the SY engine?
The breakdowns/transitions around 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 are huge, very VGM...

Cheers!

Yeah it's all the new SY CHIP machine except for the drums and the weird wispy thing in the background which is MS-20

Love all the chippy sounds, great bassline and also the lead at 2:50. Beat hits hard too!

lush chipped-out beauty heart

Chip tune with drums not made with the "noise" sound is actually really awesome! Great job sticking with it and coming up with killer jam!

Good stuff!

It was a ragtag bunch of mushroom soldiers marching through the forest floor after a heavy rain, water still dripping with water it is only a few 100 meters more before any rest would come.

Lots of fun details that keeps me re-listening and discovering new things, in awe!

There's a lot going on, and I like the melodies most of them.
