Great drum groove under the vocal chops. Love the breakdown section at 1:45.

Your tracks could build a house in the Venn diagram intersection between "Sick Beats" and "HTF did they even think of this" cool

(shared link with SO, who is also very impressed)

Fantastic! My favorite part is the really subtle "plinking" that starts around 2:10, but I loved the whole thing!

Instant groove. Like Plaid on a really good day. Love them drums

i love how it pulls back subtly near the middle, only to snap back to full smackdown,
all throughout this beat is nothin but the sexiest of fire! heart

Wow, this packs a punch! Love it. Everything feels so snappy. big_smile

Percussive orgy.

Loving those vocal chops.

Neat beat!!!

really fun energy to this & it sounds like little pollinator noises...

Nice inspires me to work with vocal samples more

Loving this. Drums/perc are so freakin' tight. Especially love it when the parts are all hitting the same points (eg. at 1:45), feels so satisfying to listen to.

The sounds are all so crispy and punchy! Love the mix of the vocal samples.

This is really awesome. The breakbeats are brilliant. I love the way you arranged and build up the different sections of this track. a genius masterpiece. very well done.

This was cool, but then it got awesome, but then it got brilliant.  It just kept going and growing.

THAT'S EXACTLY IT

(the ending was super tasteful)

it's all really good, but the drums absolutely shine.  you could make the next N weeks just different instrumentals on top of the same drum track.

(in particular i'd want to hear a wilder bass approach on top of this.  like a neuro vibe, but like good neuro, not the generic samey wavetable sound of a lot of "neuro" bass)

back for more.  the drums are soo ridiculous 2 days later.

What a weird interesting beat. It's the Drunken Boxing equivalent of beat - it looks like the drummer keeps stumbling but it all works perfectly. And then this section from 0:58 is super fun. Like a chipmunk voodoo ceremony.

Super groovy and the whole thing just sounds wicked tight.  These M8 trackers seem to be getting a lot of great feedback.  I've had a peak at the Slate and Ash software a couple of times in the past.  They're doing some interesting stuff indeed.  I've managed to refrain from buying though!  Haha.

Nice work!

Ahh, the rhythmic perfection! Good to save some gold till the end of the week. And just in time for the itchy (glitchy?) pollen season. Finally made an appointment to get some pollen medicine this year; been postponing it for some some time after the reactions started emerging as I’m turning old and fragile for those little signs of spring.

the rhythm is just amazing, kudos for the crazy sample chopping skills smile

excellent drum chops
Detuned1Bass is perpetually threatening to hit me in the nosecryzone

Thanks! I like the 1:45 section the best so it was super-validating to see the first comment notice it! heart

You've been extremely kind to my music on here -- I can't thank you enough. Thanks to you and your SO for feeling this. (I generally don't think about stuff too much, just try a bunch of things -- but critical to this is editing stuff out.) heart

Hey! Welcome back! And thanks, that's WAVSYNTH!

Thanks, man! I can't think much of Plaid's catalog that I'd file under "bad days" smile

Thanks for hollering on the other thread, really happy to make a connection.

Thanks! (Pre-processed the drum loop with some transient expansion, glad it came through!)

Thank you! (Those are randomized position in a sample and there are a couple of bad spots I need to fix, particularly in the second half.)

Thanks! Also really grateful for 1:45 "hidden bridge" noticing.

Thank you! I listened to your work at work (not logged in) and I owe you some comments!

This kind of praise I don't know what to do with, but I am grateful for kindness first and foremost.

Imma be honest, man, I have no idea what "neuro" is regarding bass, can you help an old dude out? Love the idea about reusing the drums and putting something else / new up top, will definitely happen.

I have recently re-listened to some of your work and I had the same thought. (Incepting you to let me remix a song of yours in June.)

Love your comments, I'm going to tell people "I do drunken drumming / voodoo chimpunk music."

I bought all this stuff over the years and some of the stuff I've not used outside of playing around with it, so WB is an excuse to use everything at least once... And I gotta tell you the M8 is amazing.

In solidarity: was trying to work on a banger, but ended up sniffling through this.

Yeaaaa, I know what you mean about the nosecryzone, I think.

look up Kursa and Seppa

Kursa coined the genre term "neurohop" I think.

Yes I ended up having another look at it.  Looks like an amazing portable music maker.  I will attempt to avoid for now.  Hah.

WB is definitely a great opportunity to use stuff that doesn't often get a chance.  So much amazing stuff!

Marching ever onwards into the land of beauty and chaos, I love it.

Vocal slices are siiiiick. I love the rhythm in this - especially that hard "one, two, three, four" every fourth bar. Stuff like that really makes a track stand out. Awesome work!

Oh love those drums, like jazz drummer snuck in your M8, then the vocal chops, mmmm yes yes. Into it.

Looked them up, understood, got homework now. Thanks!

This is my first time doing WB and I really like it a lot, wish I had known about it earlier.

Aw thanks. (The 1234 bit I felt was too repetitive last I heard it, but I like this one so Imma fix it.)

I've come back for this. It's such a lovely track.
