M8 + Microfreak.
(This is my first ever no-samples thing. Drums are all done on the M8, MicroFreak was used for the lead (paraphonic for voice overlap), and the robot voice, which is Speech engine with M8 CC-dialing. Faulty, but some drum sounds are alright…)

this mix is so buttery smooth. excellent rhythmic articulation and breathing room between all the elements. percussion sounds fresh, particularly that clap. synths are such a mood, especially the organ/guitar and the slightly detuned chorused-out tremolo thing. super tasteful.

Haha I remember this, the groove is so fun and laid back. The remix gives it the trip-hop treatment, totally feels like a it would be an instrumental palette cleanser for something like Massive Attack.
There is indeed a solid groove foundation that holds everything together while the overlaying sound palette does some strange and interesting things. Fun one.
