Made using an idea similar to what I had in mind in the first place.

Original Track: Weeklybeats 2016, Week 3

Made with a phone, Figure, and an increasing lack of patience.

Did you know that certain models of Macbook Pros don't allow line-in? Apparently they've fixed this with more recent models, but still, it's annoying for those of us who like to make broad assumptions without leaving enough time for alternatives.

Nice moody synths.  I like the percussion as well.  Sucks when technology gets in the way of music making.

I like the sounds you use there. Especially the super tight kick that kinda sounds like a jack connecting to something.

Thank you! The truth is, in the original track at least, I got in the way of music making by not quite planning ahead. So it was nice to be able to revisit it and do it properly - or at least the way I might have thought I wanted to do it in the first place?

Figure has all kind of great sounds in it if you're willing to not quite use it properly. I mean, it has excellent kicks to begin with (I guess because the app is based on Reason), but there's a whole bunch of happy accidents just waiting to be uncovered. Thanks for listening!

Cool that you were able to revisit it and get it closer to what you wanted. Love the way the layer that kicks in at around 45 seconds blends with the bass.
