That hooorrn! It feels so organic! I love the dynamics. Great mix of a wide range of instruments and sounds that take us on a mystical journey. Dragons and monkeys - it indeed takes us to these lands. The sitar sounds are a great texture, especially next to the harp - they compliment each other very nicely.

There is a grant exotic garden of a long forgotten emperor. Humans are no longer there and animals roam free. What looks like a huge hill is actually a sleeping dragon, slowly breathing. A monkey and a rabbit are running across the garden and jump into the crystal river.

It is a very beautiful and charming scene. I really enjoyed the range of sounds. That sequence at 5:05 with the sitar was really good, the sitar player is having fun here!

Exterior, Japanese garden at twilight. With a typical Japanese bridge over a little pond in beautiful garden.

Left of screen stands a tall woman stand in a white kimono near the top arch of the bridge. With a bunch of villagers surrounded by noblemen standing off to the side. On an equal height on the bridge on the right side of the screen sits a Japanese macaque and a red Asian dragon coils underneath and around the bridge. Slithering all over the place. As the woman and the macaque shake hands the dragon rises up in excitement. For the dragon knows they humans have just sealed their fate.

As the sun fully sets a party goes on until deep in the night. Everyone is celebrating the deal they made. There are lampoons and there is music and sake to go around a plenty.

But much like too much sake leads to a hangover, so will this fateful handshake. Not at first. At first things are beautiful and fun. But slowly things start to sour. Tension rise and morals start to slide in the village surrounding the garden. Not so much that you'd notice. But slowly and steadily things start to fall apart. What was a beautiful town with a lustrous garden is slowly transforming into a dump. As the macaque and his family have taken residence there. They eat all they can. Never clean up. And hassle all the people who dare to visit this garden. So what once was a place of beauty and contemplation, is slowly becoming an ugly place full of debauchery. And what's worse is that the people are enjoying this descend into madness. And reveling in the dissonances. 

Now it's important to know that the dragon is old and wise. And had been living the river and waters around this town for longer than any tree could remember. And being that old makes even dragons weary of the world and its simple pleasure. And so it was the dragon who convinced the humans to invite the macaques to come live in the garden. So the macaques would no longer plunder the local fields. In exchange for protection and adoration the macaques could live in this beautiful garden. And the dragon knew that wouldn't be long before the macaques would corrupt the hearts of men. For it was this corruption that the dragon was after. She wanted to see people crumble and fall apart morally. To see them surrender to the ugliness, and indulge in it. As after such a long life that the dragon had lived, this was the only thing that could bring her ever the smallest semblance of pleasure still.

Gorgeous! I downloaded it and put NI Raum reverb on top just on a hunch. Default setting with no tweaks and it makes the piece very ethereal. The blanket reverb gets a bit intense during the string sections but it makes the lead heavenly all the way through. The down side is that it draws back some of the "period feel" of this concept. Very cool track though. Lots of imagery conjured up by the instrument selection alone.
