Levi's Latch is No Match for Benny's Snatch

Another great track with Benny on the drums. This time wielding dual Galaxy echoes panned to hard left and right, all tracks (drums, epiano and moogbass) feeding into both of them, I let Benny go into a deep groove with some reggae type bass going on, while I explored my favorite futuristic sound of the galaxy echo, controlled in Latch mode just with the touchpad, with both plugins open on the screen, almost live performance (I did pause it at times and adjusted the curves a bit but not for more than 5 minutes). I did this just with drums and bass actually, and the final touch was to add the piano, but behind the preexisting automation of the effect, so everything I played became twisted into a new thing. It was super cool to play this way, almost like in a live band, where you don't know what to expect from the other players! One take of piano and that was it.

I did start this project earlier this week with the idea to try and use my ipad as a midi controller and I almost had it but it took a bit too much effort so I saved the project and did something else, and now from 1am to 2am I managed to finish something. I'm very proud of the turnaround time, esp since I was about to give up again this week. Hope you enjoy the track and my process!

Whoa, I'm really into the general chaotic sound you got going here.  Love the super aggressive mix, delay swells, and cool panning.  Very surprised thats a moog bass too, sounds very much like a p bass most of the time.

tasty dub styles! beautiful use of echo heart

Such a playful ultra mega dubby jazz improvisation. Respect.

Oh yes tasty playing! There are some synth from outer space as well at play there, like at 2:40. The bass is groovy and the piano is on fire! Stylish! Beautiful! And whimsical!

When the bass comes in, what a fuckin groooooove

oh man I love those drops but it's hard to do it by yourself.

luckily there is Benny

maximum vibes on this!  spoken word vox would go really well too

cheers

UM the song title????? LOL

Shit more dubby jazz PLEASE. Agreed it needs some vox.

Another one that could easily find itself in my Spotify rotation.

Could be fun to do a live dub mix arrangement of one of these if you have enough knobs and faders lying around.

Vibes as twisted as Benny's snatch.
