thanks for the comments and the love folks! I really appreciate it! Orangedrink - the heavylifting of the strings is done by staffpad, I tried to take care of the composition that it doesn't get too muddy but I only had 3 hours so I had to keep it simple and a lot of copy paste but I'm happy with the result and I will do more of this for sure.
nice you noticed the page turn I left it in intentionally just like the weird snicker at the end. seemed fitting.

I couldn't get it to sound good without effects so I preferred this. However I admit I don't know what I'm doing w/r to effects so this is just my random take

Page flip sound is real and I figured I could cut it when I mix, but then I realized I liked it there

I also learned something about making songs from Karl Pilkington - a super funny and unique dude on a podcast - that it's good to have a song with a story. That will hook people and they won't be able to stop because they wanna know what happens next... I intend to find out how well that works down the line, and I'd LOVE to hear more stories in you folks' music too!
