Fear X Love

Another true story!

Overdone the effects on the guitar but at least it sounds dreamy as hell.
This is a rare one where I managed to perform a full guitar take and a full vocal take without cutting stuff.
A tip for you ipad musicians: there is a fun app called magic dice by baby audio that gives you random effects, really fun to play with it while fiddling for a sound. I used it but also recorded the raw stuff, then tweaked it later in logic. again with boatloads of UA spark plugins.

Really beautiful performance all around. I'm a big fan of your guitar pieces and this is a great one. Hit all the relatable feels for me this week. heart

Love the guitar playing here. Reminds me a lot of Gregory and the Hawk! Those story-time songs are really cool too, really draws me in and takes me for the ride. lol at "fuck that noise, gimme dat silence yeaaaah". Cool how you got a little goofy before the end and took it right back to emphasizing that guitar again. Excellent job my friend.

very catchy track. love to listen to your lyrics and how you freak out a little bit. awesome performance.

Thanks a lot! The guitar part came first here, as you can probably tell, since after 2nd verse it has not much to do with the melody. but if you enjoyed the goofy parts it worked! big_smile

I'll check out Gregory and the Hawk, thanks!

Thanks! I feel like a lot of these tracks are candidates for a remake after the year is over, to actually finish the lyrics and do a better recording big_smile for now focusing on the compositions and making a decent listenable track each week.

Heavy stuff, and very true. Drowning out your feelings will come back at you.

I love the way this feels like just as much a story as it does a piece of music. The kissing sounds are a great touch; they made me laugh.

Wow, this is so wild man.  I love it.  Big fan of the eccentric vocals/lyrics, very vivid story telling.  I'm also digging those little odd timed guitar fills you throw in there throughout.  Thanks for the heads up on magic dice too!  Looks like they have VST version for free of that.

This is so mellow, and engaging.  Beautiful!

hehe, glad I got you! I am taking inspiration from Joel Haver the filmmaker actually with a sort of half-unfinished style for some of the parts of my work. He's doing this but for movies, but it works for games and music too smile we're indies, we gotta work with what we got.

Thanks! big_smile glad you noticed the guitar shenanigans. I thought they add something nice to the story and the music. careful with the magic dice, it makes things a bit muddy but it's fun to play with for inspo big_smile

Thanks for the nice words smile

This kinda reminds me of French Chanson type of tracks, except this is in English. I like the guitar and lyrical surrealism.
