The recovered tape of Dicky Dickson, legendary pianist of the 1920s. Legend has it that Dicky recorded a version of what should have become the greatest composition of all time on this week a hundred years ago, while drunkenly carousing with his bandmates late on a night during a transatlantic journey that ended in disaster. They say he used to unlock the wheels on his grand piano such that he was able to roll around the ship unfettered as the waves would rock it back and forth. People famously fought to get on board the expensive vessel to see the spectacle that was Dicky, but most of his recordings were considered forever lost. Until today.
A note was scribbled on the recovered tape, barely readable: "I ran out of time working on the lyrics so I used an unpublished recording from last week, I hope I don't get banned for this. First tune is an untitled original composition, second and third from a tv programme - bonus points for those who recognize it. oh and I used the Philip Glass piano and credits go to @atomtwist for helping with the wacky tape effect".
Nobody ever found out what happened to Dicky, though he is believed to lie on the bottom of the sea. He was surely a genius ahead of his time.
