Other Voices

Another week completed. This week was not a very musical week for me, I had some life stuff going on so this is a chopped together version of my favorite jam of the week.
Monday night I was playing around with 5 over 4 patterns on the metropolix. This track is essentially that pattern with some other layers from the modular.

I think going forward I want to focus more on making something that more cleanly fits into a genre.

Awesome minimalist vibe. That cyclical feel of the five pattern moving over the four is great. Love the vocal treatment as well.

The pulsing synths are cool and the garbled voices are quite fun to listen to.  Nice work.

Vocals are great!

Thanks! Yeah I really enjoy the rolling 5 over 4, might come back to that idea in future weeks

I have some spoken word stuff on an sd card in the disting, it's really fun sending that into the 2nd input of my filter & fx chain.

Really dig the vocal sample treatment. I haven't touched my metropolix in months, I feel like I need to change that.

Wow, I wanna make a track just like this. So simple, yet so engaging. Reminds me of going on long drives with my Dad while he would play smooth techno like this. Love it.

Yeah its a fantastic sequencer, really good at being the chugging heart of a track
