Frozen Crunch

I feel like every week I am on here saying it was a tough week and I couldn't really find the headspace to really focus on making something nice.
That is unfortunatly how these past few months have been for me. Despite that I realy enjoy the challenge and the community on here.
This weeks track is a few stickied together takes of the modular and/or hydrasynth. I mostly just set reaper up like a tape machine looping the length of the track and then just noodle along with the previous takes.

looking forward to hearing week 3!

Slow buildup.

I really like the deep bass later on the track and tight drum beat.

Yea I feel the same about it being though every week but it wouldn't be a challenge otherwise!
And you did make something nice! Love how the song takes you on a journey and developes over time

I feel the same way about always apologizing for not having enough time. I guess I’m hoping that by week 20 or 30 it starts to feel like it takes me a lot less time to do what can take hours now and it leads to a week feeling like enough time without effort. Even if that’s week 53, that’ll be great!

Anyway, great work on this. Was very meditative

Thanks for listening! The track actually started out being a lot faster but I couldnt find drums I liked at the higher tempo so I slowed the whole thing down.

I really appreciate the challenge too. Most of my struggles are external to making music and it's really nice to be incentivised to step away from the stress of real life.

Thanks! Yeah I am super excited for getting more skilled in the nuts and bolts of production. Here's to practice every week!

Good tune.

It may have been tough but you pushed through it and you will become a better musician for it.

It gets itself into a nice little groove as it gets going.  I enjoyed listening to it.  Hang in there!  Getting through the tough weeks is probably one of the most important parts of this whole process, and hopefully some better weeks are around the corner.

Keep creating my friend! Great job here with the synths. Great track overall.

That's the goal! Despite my complaining I do really enjoy making things, and it does me good.
