field recording this week of sounds made from water tank, fan heater and extractor fan in my bathroom.  depending on where you are in the room, the dissonance of the oscillations from the three elements is striking.  i swear i start hearing different harmonics when i get caught in it.  this piece is more of a mental note to myself to remind me to listen out for those extra sonic artifacts you sometimes are lucky enough to hear when you are in an environment in which you are not actively listening to music.

was just working on an album last night called rooms. i had this one class at college where we had to sit in a stairwell for 15 minutes and write about it. that exercise opened my brain for doing sound design stuff. i hope to work more on field recordings now that i have a little better portable recording unit.

cool stuff, altering field recordings and household sounds is a field rich with possibilities.
