decided to break out the acoustic guitar this week [as well as ukulele and a hastily deleted banjo line].  still not 100% happy with the finger picked sounds i get out of it.  need to experiment with mic placement etc over the week.  hastily mixed this so some of the synths sound a little overbearing at times. as always, i seemed to descend into post-rock/ shoegaze murk at the end.  should probably find a way of wrapping up songs without resorting to such tactics!  over the next few weeks i want to try and spruce up my mastering skills. at the moment i'm relying on ableton a lot to do my dirty work for me then throwing the mixed track into reason's audiomatic to give it a bit of murk.  there probably is a far better way to go about this...
