PSS-140 YM2413 Commodious Firmament

By Himelstein on March 12, 2022 6:34 pm

Just playing the Yamaha PSS-140 live thru a Strymon BigSky and recorded on cassette tape. Also added ambient noise from the Kasser DAFM Genesis synth at the very end, just because of my OCD about using the YM2612 chip on every wb track. The PSS-140 contains the YM2413 chip, used in the Sega Mark III MSX FM-PAC, so- double Sega YM chips on this one.

I love this firmament! And I think I love all things Portasound!

the sounds have a great texture, really love the 'air' here. amazing soundscape

I dream of the strymon bigsky for so long. I love to hear the crystal clear reverb and the tapesaturation in
your song. you have an extraordinary ambient flavor and unique soundscape in this track. well done.

Nice sounds. I also really like harmony in this. It's got some cool mysterious chords that work well with this.

Love the name! Heh heh heh. I dig the ominous/victorious chord progression and distant chugging sound.
