Week 5

This week almost did not have a submission - the mother32 refuses to properly receive sequencing from the Octatrack.

So I skipped it and did something in the OT + send/return FX loop.

I like making stuff like this for when I'm working or doing other things.

The whole track was done in the Octatrack including all glitching. Samples were sourced from a number of locations.
It's a lot more fun using hardware than trying to do something like this in a DAW.

Ableton was used to cut down the track to reduce some of the repetition and some post processing FX.

hardware sequencing is such a paradigm shift from DAWs, i want to do more but don't have the gear. even through the noisy drums there's a kind of triumphant joy about this; i love the slow build and glitchy percs!

Definitely good stuff to chill to while I'm working. Very hypnotic with some excellent breaks and rolls.
