Week 6

Found some interesting chord structures. Had a bit more time this week so I was able to develop more on what was originally going to be last week's release.

First track done in Ableton 10, this was a busy week between discovering some of the new features of Ableton 10 and getting this done.

As a sidenote, Ableton 10 Suite has been an excellent purchase. There's been workflow improvements in ways I wasn't even aware needed improving and as a result, drum slicing has been a lot easier.

Also, I've learned that song ideas get stale if I hold on to them for too long. Unless I get it done within a week, I'm lucky to break the procrastination cycle. There was a lot of re-records of the guitar part before I hit the 'fuck it' point and had to get slicing and finish the rest of the track.

As usual, follow on social media. Apparently that's a popular thing to do:

Anyway, enjoy.

Drum sample rolls are super cool. Love the heavy sound. I've never heard drum effects like that.

Glad you liked them! I had two drum channels running, I’d go into Ableton and make small manipulations to the samples, it’s a cool way to create variations.

Heavy.
