The Roland boutique series has it's hooks in me: picked up a Roland SH01a and it rules. Great device.

Was able to make some incredible sounds, some being things I've been trying to make for quite some time.

Used it to create the swell sound and the noise/hiss. The rest is the Ableton. If you haven't used Ableton's drum buss: use it. put it on everything. put it on drums, put it on guitars, put it on bass. heck, even put it on toast, I'm sure it's delicious there too.

Was listening to your track last night around midnight in my car, wow such strong sensations smile I felt like if I were in a David Lynch movie driving in the dark uneasy to describe but it was great. Many little things in that sound, many details in the drums etc that are awesome. At some point it reminded me a bit "Herd Killing" by FsoL, I don't know why, maybe the complex drumming and the sounds.
Long story short, this is amazing.

The wind and rising saws really give movement to it. The SH01a sounds fairly tasty but the real winner os the drum programming and processing. Spaced out well and dramatic. Have never used the drum buss... Guess I'll do that sometime soon!

It’s interesting you’ve mentioned the drums being complex, tbh, I’ve scaled back my drum processing recently. However maybe the decisions I’m making make more of an impact?

Describing my music as Lynchian late night car drives is a huge compliment. Thank you.

It seems I will never escape my drum programming big_smile thank you!

I was a frequent Infected Mushroom did a plug-in called Push (or something) with Waves, it was used on everything. Since discovered Ableton’s drum bus, I haven’t even thought about it.

Hit me up if you are interested in me sharing the FX chain I made. It’s hard not to put it on everything, so I stopped trying and now I put it on everything.
