Writing the Answers

Still exploring the Deluge. Slow moving with hints of distortion. It gets a bit busy in the middle but I still like the basic idea: dirty sounds and gentle melodies.

The title comes from a book called "Mouse" by Sayaka Murata. It was an interesting look at identity: both how it is shaped and how we shape it, as told through two girls growing up from elementary school into young adults. One of my favorite passages is below (I translated it myself, so any errors are entirely my own.)

"I thought of conversations as similar to a school workbook. First you had to quickly grasp what kind of reply a person wanted based on the situation and their personality, then think of the correct answer. When I saw it that way, it wasn’t as hard as I first thought. I just calmly went on, writing the answers."

Peaceful and very sublty made. I like reading the background of the stories that inspired the track.

Beautiful and chill! heart

I like your song is one page in the book, and they all together make a beautiful story. And it's perfect to listen and enjoy when you read also smile

Relaxing. This feels like a progression in your style, from what I remember in 2020. I really like how the songs are evolving.

Absolutely serene and calming.  This would be great comedown music after a stressful day.

Very chill, love the atmosphere you created.  Old timey music box kind of feel to it.

beautiful track, I love the background textures and the lead timbres

Love how relaxing this is, very pretty!

This track is so heartfelt. It made me think about how real people (as opposed to hollywood instagram people) are a bit like distorted sounds that can create beautiful melodies. And learning to love and accept oneself is a similar process to learning to love a distorted sound. Thanks for this track!
BTW I love how it transitions to your week3 track when playing it from your profile smile

Very lovely piece and I dig the touch of distortion. Embelishes some of the harmonics.

Like mentioned on your description, it is really a smooth melody done with some hard sounds. Nice smooth pad progression. Fun track.

I like the bells like sounds, dreamy

Wow.  What a juxtaposition with the rate-crush / aliasing distortion too.  Really love this sound :-)

lovely how this unfolds.

Such a nice listen, sounds great! Love that story about writing the answers. I wonder if its nice but not always required to first think of what kinds of answer the other person wants?

Really pretty tune, love the digital aliasing

Beautiful dirty sounds and magnificent melodies. That works fine for me, too.

So chill and the sound selection feels real nice

Nice and relaxing

Really calming track.  I love how the main melody sort of unfolds with the flaring pads behind it.

Very enjoyable, great sound design on this, thanks for sharing the passage from the book

The texture is so rich and full, I love it. It sounds like winter mornings.

beautiful.  very tender.  love the slight bendy warbles.
