What slips from your grasp

This is for all intents and purposes an audio diary. Recently Kedbreak had wind chimes in his track and I was inspired by the idea of using sound to help record memories. I recorded a variety of different environments while I was in Kyoto over the last three days and tried to have them float in and out of a piece of music I came up with while on trains and during quiet nights at the hotel. I'm not particularly happy with how the track ended up, but it, too, is a part of the journey, so in that sense nothing else fits better. I will likely try to experiment with more of this kind of thing during the rest of the year where the opportunity arises.

Nice! I could hear walking on pebbles (the sound of stepping on pebbles is always really nice), talking and towards the end monks chanting at a Buddhist temple (I guess?). That was very good, against the simple music that captures the relaxing mood of being out on a [BLISTERING HOT AND HUMID] summer day. These audio diaries are like little doors that open into memories and (for other people) imaginary landscapes. I enjoyed it!

I hear chimes, walking in a public place (maybe a train station), bell tones, and chanting.  A wonderful journey!

this is very nice music. I did some exotic field recordings on my phone as well, when I was on vacation. But did not use them for a song yet. But I feel very inspired by this song.

I'm a big fan of found sounds.  If I encounter something interesting out in the wilderness I often try to record it on my phone.  It does make for a sort of audio diary, but you can get some really interesting sounds and textures that way also.  I like the chill vibe of this track.  There's a wistful quality to it reminiscent of remembering something.

This immediately had me thinking of Outer Wilds, where there's just this general appreciation for living in the moment and taking everything in, resting at a campfire and looking at the night sky. It was the combination of the outside ambience with the faint sound of the keyboard playing, like another adventurer was playing a song somewhere out in the galaxy.
Btw, I've always loved the idea of written/recorded music being kind of a snap shot of our lives in that moment like a picture. It gives me a strong emotional connection to the songs I write throughout the weeklybeats years because I can associate that song with how I was feeling about something at the time. More often than not it's video games haha, but  they kind of whisk me away to another world so I like to commemorate that experience through song if I can.

I kinda love this, it's mellow and things are going on, like a casual stroll through the streets in the evening

so cool so lovely heart

Dig this, takes me to a rainy day on that train. Was that rain I hear? Like the production here, produced sounds fit in with the found sound so well, that chanting voice so cool. Audio diaries for the win. This is quiet night song

I agree with other comments. Very nice snapshots of some little moments. Well done.

Really such a peaceful and serene picture you have painted here with this track.  Found sound is always a cool way to tell your musical story.  Really enjoyed this smile

Always a fan of field recordings.  You could almost allow them to come to the forefront at times.  Love the chants at the end.
