A bit Daft

I was away in the countryside over the weekend, so as usual I brought the OP-Z along with me. The challenge for this track was trying to anchor the middle section to the outro; I loved how chaotic the arpeggios sounded when I fiddled with the pattern and upped the delay, but I needed to create a way back to the outro riff. I think it works?

I'm constantly surprised at how much joy the OP-Z brings me for its size. It's certainly not nearly as powerful as other step sequencers out there, but I really like the way it's designed; there's a real playfulness to it that feels great once you get your head around the interface (which admittedly, is easily the biggest barrier to entry.)

The middle to outro works good for me!  I'm not personally familiar with the OP-Z, but it seems like a really cool little tool.

Arpeggios + delay = heart
Very nice one! It's like synthwave cyberpunk meets Secret of Mana. Very nice sounds on this one and the outro does work nicely. The joy if playing with the OPZ can be heard in the track. smile

When you love your instrument, it loves you back. this is the case in here. a really joy, your OP-Z.

Really great arrangement here. The mix sounds amazing when the the low end emerges under the arps with the drums and bass. The arps also have a really delightful amount of delay on them to create a nice harmonic effect.

Nice when a some gear can bring joy, that means its keeper! This is a joyful sparkly song, I like what you've done here!

Mixes are definitely improving!  The beats in particular are sitting in the mix better.  Cool use of the arps too as they definitely add some musical flare.  Have you heard Nils Frahm?  If not, check his stuff out.  Amazing stuff and I recently saw him live for the second time.  So good.
