I picked up the Boards of Deluge 3 sound pack the other day, which is a collection of sounds made with the Deluge's in-built synth engine. It's very inspiring. Anyway, this track is the result of playing around with some of those sounds. The mix isn't where I'd like it and I'd like to come back some day to replace the drums, but the general idea is where it's supposed to be, so it's time to move on to a new idea! smile

I like the kick that is muffled and sounds like it comes from underneath the water while the higher blops and blips are like bubbles bursting out of water. Looking forward to more sample based experiments!

Nice exploration.  I liked how it was mellow but also kind of upbeat.  Definitely an underwater vibe as well.

I agree this makes me think to underwater. This soft bass drum sound is a good adding to the peaceful tones. Lovely song smile

The mix of the kick works pretty well with the feel of the synth imo. Just like what others have said, it gives a nice underwater effect

1:20 is great

Really cool vibe to this.  Digging the main, bubbly sounding synth sound a lot.

I really like this! Super chill with some great melodies to boot smile

1:20 was genius.

Peaceful nice floating. Lovely sounds from that pack, good job!

That sounds like an awesome sound pack.  I don't have a deluge but checked out some of the patches on the website.  Underworld and Vangelis?  Me likey!  That kick sounds awesome in between the pads.  It kinda reminded me of the opening to the Top Gun Anthem.  Obviously not the rest of it just how that 808sortaKick echoed a bit and set the tone.  Super mellowness in this track.  Would love to hear more from this sound pack smile

I will have another one next week, I think.

I beginning to think I'm drawn to songs that make you feel like you're under water.

I am glad you like the bass drum, I was really not sure about it when I was making the track.

I have a lot to work on with the drum sound when I'm playing with the Deluge. Appreciate your comment!

I feel like I got lucky with that, so I'm really glad you dig it.

Yeah I wanted to use it as soon as I heard it.

Yeah there's some really cool sounds and I hope to eventually make some of my own down the line. I'll hopefully have some more with this sound pack next week. smile

The ideas in here are solid. I can see this in a video game the way it is. Cool ideas and smooth flow--I remember you were talking about how to create cohesion between sections a few months ago.

Lovely warbly pads!  That's a large part of the BOC sound which I'm guessing what this soundpack is inspired by?
