I wouldn't blame you for not listening through to the end after listening to the start, but I will say that all my favorite stuff happens there, and it's where everything (finally) feels like it comes together. This track really started with the weird rhythm melody that comes in at around the 0:27 mark. I found it completely by accident, just playing around, and liked it so much I decided to keep the messy transition into it and just move forward. I also decided to build the rest of the track around that particular sound, which gave me a chance to play around with the op-z's arpeggiator, and I had a blast.

I like the vibe that starts from 2:15 and then the slightly distorted strings around 2:45. It does build up and all parts fit very nicely at the end, taking us to a different place from where we started.

Again, your music is changing. This one is blending your style of drums with melody and bass. The pickup with the kick and layering afterwards is done nicely. Wow. Great track.

Reading through the section above, yes. It comes together at the end.

Lol I listened to the end, I think the bright arp there is my favourite thing in the tune heart The rhythmic bass throughout is great. Really sweet tune overall.

So chill.  like the vibe here

Thanks so much for listening! Still feel like I have a ways to go when it comes to creating interesting hi-hat patterns, but really happy you like it.

Thanks for listening through to the end! The arp is my favorite thing in the track too; partially because I learned so much about using them through this track.

Thanks! Still trying to chase that smoothness I feel in most of your tracks, really haha

Haha thanks man! I spend a good amount trying to make my sounds warmer. Adding reverb, eqing to off a bit of the highs and some lows, adding a bit of chorus as well to make it wide and smooth. I'm still trying to perfect it myself.

If you end up with something that comes together at the end again, try moving a chunk of it to the beginning of the song to start it off. Just a thought...many old Beatles songs start with the chorus.

This is cool though, I really like it!

Really solid track Hengtee.  Nice one.  Lots of musical elements happening.  Almost a retro/electro pop vibe to it.  Lots of fun to be had with arps. smile
