This is my first time playing with samples in the OP-1. I used a couple of guitar chords I found on op1.fun, and some cute voice samples from a video game (you'll probably know it when you hear it). I consider the first minute and a half a real personal achievement because (at least for me,) all the pieces fit. Everything after that (at least for me,) is the result of scrambling to finish on a Sunday night, and frankensteining an ending from some ugly transitions and jarring changes.

Still, I don't get many chances to use the word frankensteining either, so I'll take the small victories where I can. I hope you're all staying safe and healthy. smile

(By the way, I've been having some trouble with volume settings for recording recently, so if you listen to this track you'll probably put the volume up. Please remember to put it back down before you go to another track! I'm sorry and I'm working on it!)

Cool little song. Nice couple melodies and the voice samples add some variety.

Small victories still count!  Worth digging deep into the sampling on the OP-1 as you can get some cool stuff happening.  The guitars sound nice in the track.

I actually just did some guitar sampling on my op1 too. I was really surprised how good it souded plugging the guitar straight into the input. Great machine, not much else in my studio is getting a look in right now. This is so wonderfully peaceful.

Next time you could do a simple amplify as a little touch of mastering before uploading so it won't be so quiet.

Nice tune though, very chill and it's always nice to hang out with Navi.

Thanks! It's surprisingly good with samples, makes me wish I started a little earlier.

It's cool, right? Hope you get some interesting audio experiments out of it. smile

Full points for catching the sample, and thanks for the tip!

You can find free Limiter VSTs just to make sure you're in the right ballpark in terms of volume right before finishing your track.

Otherwise, this is a great track and there's nothing jarring or ugly about it! Near the end the bell sounds start phasing, it's my favourite part!

It makes me really happy you like the phasing part. When I first recorded the track I almost cut that section because I wasn't sure about it, but for some reason couldn't let it go. smile

Aaaaaah! I was waiting for that hey LISTEN!! hehehehehehe, adorable peaceful beat heart

Nice insertion of the Navi sound clip.
