I wanted to play around with the tape features on the OP-1 so I recorded this performance "live". The results are a little mixed, but I'm happy I managed to pack so much stuff into this one track: dynamic track muting to create the sample line at the start, tape breaks to move between sections, and memorized effect parameters to give the track a sense of playfully drunk wooziness at the start and end.

These last two tracks have felt like good progression for me, but they've also shined a light on the fact that the mixing stage is where I'm really weak. It's something I hope I can improve over the course of the year.

I like the simple beat and the simple crystalline layers on top of it. Relaxing like lullaby. smile

Yup, great mood from this! Makes me want to hang out by the window when it's raining outside and just feel good heart

Very serene. Love the choice of sounds here

Totally zoned out to this, I was trying to pick up on all the performance aspects you added but just enjoyed the mood too much. I suppose that's a good thing though, it's nice when all those tape tricks really add something.

Good vibes feel important these days. Hope we can bring some more as the weeks go by. (By the way, forgot to reply to you before, but have been meaning to play The Witness for a while. I hear it's getting a Switch release, and if that's true I'll jump on board as soon as I find it!)

What I really like about them is the way they bring a little color and life to sections of a piece that are in need of something more. The difficult part is knowing to rein in the randomness and when to just let it all go. smile

Great work here man.  Very tastefully done.

I like the use of the tape fuzz in this track. Another great addition.
